Fees
One percent of the change. Not of your swap, not of your balance.
What we charge
When your change is invested, 1% of it goes to the treasury and the remaining 99% buys your basket. On a 58 cent round-up that is a little over half a cent.
| Line | Amount |
|---|---|
| Your swap | $7.42 — untouched |
| Rounded up to | $8.00 |
| Change | $0.58 |
| Crumble fee, 1% | $0.0058 |
| Into your basket | $0.5742 |
The fee is taken in the token you paid with, before the change is split between legs. If a swap produces no change, there is no fee.
The ceiling is in the code
The contract declares MAX_FEE_BPS = 500 and refuses any attempt to set the fee above it, at deployment or afterwards. Five percent is the highest the fee can ever be, and that is enforced by the contract rather than promised by us. A change to the rate applies to future round-ups only.
What we never charge
- Nothing to deposit. The change goes in at face value.
- Nothing to withdraw. Leaving is free, always, however often you do it.
- Nothing on your balance. No management fee, no annual percentage, no charge for sitting still.
- No spread. Legs execute at the Uniswap v3 pool price, and the contract credits what actually arrived.
- No subscription. A flat monthly fee would fall hardest on exactly the small, occasional user this is built for.
Network fees
You pay gas on your own transaction, as you would for any swap. Robinhood Chain is an L2 and this usually costs a fraction of a cent. Because the round-up rides inside the swap you were making anyway, it does not cost you a second transaction.
What the pool takes. Separately from our fee, each Uniswap v3 pool charges its own swap fee, which goes to that pool's liquidity providers and not to us. The app's quote already accounts for it — the figure it shows you as landing in your basket is the figure after both.
